We had a fantastic World Book Day last Thursday in St Fiacc’s N.S. Children dressed up as their favourite book character and book tokens were distributed to all students in the school which can be used in local bookshops. Also Ms Minnock organised Paired reading with the 6th and Junior Infant classes where the older children acted as reading buddies for children in the Junior Infant classes. It was a great experience for all and some of the 6th class students even read a book to the entire J.Infant classes. In the senior classes there was also some night reading where students got to turn the lights off and use reading lights to read their new books from our refurbished school library. Bhí an spórt againn!
